Be kind to others. Be kind to your peers, to your teachers, to your family. Kindness is making the choice to be generous with people who deserve it, and sometimes, people who don't. If you need help, reach out to your teachers. They will absolutely help you with what you need! Don't procrastinate an (1) · Be your own best friend. (1) · Choose something that interests you, something you're passionate about. Don't choose a project because you think it will be easy, choose one that you will benefit and intrigue you. Stand out, be unique, and have fun with it. (1) · Determination and being honest with yourself is key—don't sign yourself up for a project that's too much to handle no matter how ideal it sounds. Choose one you won't grow tired of and can stay dedicated to through and through. (1) · Do not procrastinate. No matter how much you want to, don't do it. Because you're going to regret it. Ask your teachers for help because I promise you they want to help, and they want you to succeed. (1) · Do what interests you, even if it has nothing to do with your House. (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · Don't stress too much (1) · Don’t procrastinate!!! That was the biggest struggle for me was actually sitting down and doing the work. Also my capstone ended up changing multiple times and that’s okay. Not everything will work and all you can really do is try something else. (1) · HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!! And a backup plan for that. But remember there is a such thing as too safe. Let loose but be prepared for failures and lessons. (1) · Have fun in your capstone class but don't forget to actually do your work, and do your artifacts they will help more than you think! (1) · If your ever think about spray painting, only spray paint that which is your property. Never go around places and spray paint anything that you think will be cool/funny/a good way to get revenge. Never play around. (1) · It's a little bit overwhelming, but the finished product makes everything worth it. (1) · Make a plan at the beginning of the year, see if it is possible or acceptable, see how everything is going to work, and give it your best. (1) · My advice for the next seniors. . . hmmmm. Capstone-wise, choose something that challenges you but it also excites you. It is supposed to be something that connects to what you want to do in the future so it should be something you enjoy. For just senior year in general, enjoy the moments you have (1) · Pick something you love doing, but maybe something you don't know much about. Then you'll be able to have your school project and also have fun while doing it. There were many times I forgot I was working for a grade and I just enjoyed what I was doing, so it still turned out great. (1) · Plan what you want to do. I have friends who are astounding in their fields and can easily create a project. They know how to do research and can acquire the skills needed to complete whatever they want. If this is not true to you, TSAS has a wonderful and talented staff willing to help you. The und (1) · Start at the beginning of the year. (1) · Start early and gradually work on it. (1) · Start it early. (1) · Start your capstone early in the year, be brave, and have confidence. When you enter a room, demand attention with your presence. Be the best you, you can be! They seem stupid but you will forget all of the cool stuff you have done for your project. (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1) · We’re told as seniors to get our “money up” but we’re not told don’t forget you have to feel and look good while doing it. (1) · While you should have everything for the most part planned, don't go into it thinking too much and have your expectations for yourself too high. Don't freak out when things start to look different than how you originally planned it to. (1)

A slide show of some of the topics I went through in the TulsaTech class "Cyber security and forensics." Though it may not be the most polished thing in the world, I wanted to at least make the average computer/phone user aware of the different types of security threats that one could face while onl (1) · Along the way, taking baby steps, I will learn and understand about people’s view. A lot of people see graffiti as a crime, but not for me. I see it as an beautiful image that people wouldn’t understand. Later on in street art, my art work will turn out to be a new meaning for graffiti. (1) · Before this whole mess started, I was going to be a Stage Manager in our school’s musical production “The Addams Family.” I was given the position as stage manager because my teacher, Ms. Gates, saw me as a responsible student and trusted me to watch over a group of students. To help further my enrichment in my Capstone, I took two photography classes this year. I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. I decided to do my capstone on early childhood learning. I wanted to show viewers that although we may look, speak, or act a different way from each other, it shouldn't divide us. (1) · My capstone is about how my internship at discovery lab affected my future career in teaching. The internship taught me responsibility, patience, and amiability in stressful situations. (1) · My capstone is based on the concept of seeing something you like, thinking "I can make/do that, too," and learning how to do it without spending much money. For this project I focused on resin, sewing, and propmaking (for cosplay). (1) · My capstone project is the process of carving and printing. Starting out with the original drawing I have in my sketchbook to having a print. (1) · My original capstone project was to create an irrigation system for the plants in the Commons on top of the bookshelf. I designed the dropper, the base, end caps, the hose splitter, and connectors. I have my irrigation system put together on a metal shelf that I bought to finish the project. This lead me on the road to learning a new, different type of dance that I never considered before. (1) · My project is a talk about current flow and the dangers it may have, but mostly a better understanding of it. Once the talk is complete, you should walk away with a deeper knowledge of current as well as a simple definition for amperage, wattage and voltage. Fire has shaped us since the very beginning, it was the first ever technological advancement that literally sparked everything for us. Fire is even theorized to be the reason we had the ability to evolve into what we are today. (1) · My project is about the issues we currently have with our death investigation system. My hope is to bring awareness to the lack of funding, standards and accreditation of this system. Many professionals in this field are not even certified and that is a huge problem. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · My project is fluid painting or paint pouring. I find this very therapeutic and relaxing. (1) · Essentially this journal was going to be the back up to a video of me camping in the wilderness actually eating these plants. (1) · Fire and its effect on us both in history and in modern day. I wanted to expose people to the concept of our differences being skin deep. Regardless of our born identities, we aren't different. (1) · I was going to track my progress both in improvement of quality but also how my store had gone (thanks COVID). (1) · I will give a talk about the dangers of electricity and teach my audience about amperage, voltage, and wattage. My goal is to teach in a way that all audience members can learn: visual, audial, and kinesthetic methods. Talks along with some form of presentation will fulfill two of the three categori (1) · In my Capstone project proposal, I talked about how I planned to write at least one original song and explain the process that I went through to write and record it. (1) · It started as a self love project, but over time I realized that it wouldn't be possible to finish in quarantine. So, I decided to make a photography website (1) · It was about old English vs new English at first, but then I loved Discovery Lab so I did that instead. (1) · It was supposed to be like a Ted Talk where I would have more visuals and charts, but I didn't have as much time to put it together so I did the best I could. (1) · My capstone project was an indoor irrigation system for the plants on top of the book shelves in the Commons. The irrigation system was to be automated and would only need for the reservoir to be filled every so often; everything else would be taken care of by the system. The system would run off of (1) · My initial idea was to document the process of becoming a shift supervisor at Starbucks, but because my store was in need of a supervisor and everyone I worked with was waiting on me to turn 18 so I could promote anyway, I ended up skipping a lot of the process. Since COVID -19 I am beyond proud to (1) · My initial plan was to create a book where I put my photography and literature media all together. (1) · My original proposal was learning how to clog and working on my speed and my knowledge of a different dancing type. (1) · Originally, I wanted to just print out pictures of the teachers I've had and get some tracing paper and trace it onto the canvas. (1) · Originally, my capstone started out with expanding my skill set with different kinds of printmaking to expand my portfolio. I had planned on doing three linoleum prints, three etchings, and printing on textile with soft blocks. The linoleum and the etching pieces were going to be a series of three, (1) · This project is intended to bring awareness to the problems with our death investigation system, because there are many. This is not a common topic of conversation so not many people are aware of these issues and that is a problem. (1)

None (1) · Although capstone did take an unexpected turn, it wasn't difficult to adjust to the new changes. (1) · Due to lack of enrichment and work, I decided to change my capstone to photography. Luckily enough, I had already been attending a photo class. Ms. Butcher took me under her wing right away to help brainstorm and envision how to build a portfolio and give an artist statement. (1) · For the final project I am submitting a slide presentation of how I got the idea of learning how to clog instead of taking a video of myself doing the dance with my costume and music. (1) · For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · I completely changed mine because I was behind already, school ended, and this is what I could come up with. (1) · I completely started over and changed my entire project. (1) · I decided to change the way I sketched the paintings. I had talks with Karner and Foshee about how I could make this project better. They asked why I was tracing instead of drawing it myself. I took a couple of days to process that as well. Why was I doing that? It always felt like I was a fake ever (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) · I expanded the journal with drawings and utility. (1) · I had to change from a tri-fold like presentation to a slideshow which honestly in hindsight worked a lot better and I was able to fit a lot more information on it. (1) · I have been super excited about presenting everything I have learned working at Starbucks and promoting within the company since we heard about the capstone project at the end of our sophomore year! As soon as we heard about it I knew I was going to present my promotions at Starbucks and everything (1) · I have tracked my progress leading up to my store opening and my improvements in quality. (1) · I started with a simpler version of this talk because I was going to add an example of what I'm teaching. My goal was to teach the audience with visual, audial, and kinesthetic points for each type of learner. I was going to create a device capable of shocking you at almost any safe voltage and ampe (1) · I took away the composition stuff because I found the resin aspect to be way more fun. I also added propmaking because cosplay is something I love doing, and I love designing different aspects of characters that I can make myself. A lot of the projects I had planned had to be cut simply because I di (1) · I was originally going to talk more about how it affects us in modern day but it's not as interesting as the history and fire sadly isn't used that much in the daily lives of modern people. (1) · It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · My plan was to inform everyone that I could about something I feel strongly about. Everyone I have ever shared this information with didn't know about it and agreed something needs to be done. So the purpose was to make people aware and hopefully start the conversation. So far it has gone according (1) · Not everything went exactly as I planned it! While I didn't ever change the premise of my Capstone, I had a lot of issues with productivity and eventually, a lack of supplies. I went from aiming for 24-25 models, down to 18, and finally, 16. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled. Originally I was going to describe my experience as a Stage Manager, but then I decided to include how (1) · Unfortunately my idea for the etchings went out the window as the trip was postponed. Also, etching is a difficult type of printmaking that requires the copper plate to be dipped in acid. Without my own studio, doing these would prove impossible. While I did write the the one song that I originally planned on writing, my project still doesn't look exactly as I imagined it would. (1) · Yes I planned but it got ruined so I had to do it at home. A learned why people hate graffiti and think it’s a crime. I’m learning it as if I was just born. (1) · As I put this project together (gather photos and look through artifacts) I am realizing more and more that my coworkers are the best part of my job. From starting as a barista and working alongside most of them to learning from my supervisors (and friends) to becoming one of them. All of my barista (1) · Crocheting is a learning process—you have to have determination and dedication to improve and develop your own styles and preferences. (1) · Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) · I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) · I feel like I actually learned a lot about myself during the whole process. The biggest thing that I got from this is to just trust myself a lot more and not make things harder for myself by being focused on other people besides me. (1) · I knew the information I was providing beforehand, but I learned quite a lot through the process of trying to share that knowledge with others. creating a talk that has a lot of information in it was proven counterproductive as people may get more confused or less drawn toward the subject. (1) · i learned that even though I won't get a grade out of finishing the dance, it is something I want to do. I want to finish it and see it through the end, I think its worth it if i want to further my skills and techniques in dancing. (1) · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) · I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. (1) · I learned that it is a lot harder to do something than to say you're going to do them. I wanted to compensate for what I felt insecure about, and struggled a lot because of it. I think my takeaway, really, is to pace myself. I would go between periods of excess and then nothing at all, and felt a lo (1) · I learned the important values of responsibility, dedication, teamwork, and leadership. (1) · I learned to stay true to my style and trust the process. Also how I need to realize that I'm not going to be a professional painter/artist overnight. Also stop giving myself such a hard time. Learning how to adapt to how life is currently and finishing out my senior year has had it difficulties, but like with anything you can’t give up and quit. It's also not safe to touch without gloves. That was a good scare.
