Don't get to attached to your first idea, because it's going to change and one thing I had to let go, well try to let go, was my need to have everything be perfect, because it won't be perfect but you have to still do it and can't give up. (1) ·

I think that really making it about something you're already passionate about is super important. It's only as much extra work as you make it really. My paper is fairly concise but it's the accumulation of work I've been doing for a long time. Don't write it off immediately and finish it in the end, (1)

My capstone is my depop shop. I started making jewelry sophomore year, and selling it. This year I expanded it by learning other skills, such as sewing stuffed animals and embroidery. I had to ditch the poster-board aspect due to the circumstances, and my goals for me have evolved majorly since it was assigned as well. That lesson of learning how to learn is still very important, but now it's more focused on discipline and being emotionally healthy. (1) ·
It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. (1) ·
So it was going as planned, and I even had a backup which is my book I'm writing but I didn't finish my book in time and I wasn't really impressed my how I wrote in my blog, so I changed it to my depop shop, that way all my work is the same but just presented in a different fashion. (1)

I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) ·
I learned a lot about me, and the "demons" I have. I feel not near as powerless as I did to them even just a little while ago. I'm learning to heal the mental things that need to be healed and grow in a healthy way, and not feel like a core part of me is a mistake and has to be hidden away. (1) ·
Well I learned how to embroider, and a bunch of other little skills like that. I also have been able to explore subcultures that I enjoy through fashion, and making mainly jewelry based off of them. It, over all, was a really fun project and I got to know myself better through it. (1)
