Be your own best friend. (1) · Choose something that interests you, something you're passionate about. Don't choose a project because you think it will be easy, choose one that you will benefit and intrigue you. Stand out, be unique, and have fun with it. (1) · Do it as fast as you can because you can’t predict what can happen. (1) · Do it. (1) · Don't miss out on opportunities that I wish I have taken more advantage of. I hope by seeing all the seniors' presentations you are inspired to know what you want to do for your career. (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!! And a backup plan for that. But remember there is a such thing as too safe. Let loose but be prepared for failures and lessons. (1) · Honestly, don’t take school as a joke, as much as high school is an incredible experience and such a time to be alive (you know, like the “young wild and free” quote). But please remember this a time to also represent yourself and who you are wanting to become. I know it’s silly coming from (1) · My advice for the next seniors. . . hmmmm. Capstone-wise, choose something that challenges you but it also excites you. It is supposed to be something that connects to what you want to do in the future so it should be something you enjoy. For just senior year in general, enjoy the moments you have (1) · Pick something you love. You will be spending a lot of time at this location and it is more enjoyable if you love it. (1) · Plan what you want to do. I have friends who are astounding in their fields and can easily create a project. They know how to do research and can acquire the skills needed to complete whatever they want. If this is not true to you, TSAS has a wonderful and talented staff willing to help you. The und (1) · Start early and gradually work on it. (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1)

“Forever Youth” is something we can all relate to. I believe that no matter what age you are, you are truly never too young to experience something new. I would have never understood this concept if it wasn't for enjoying (more like loving) the kpop group BTS. Silly, right? I never knew enjoying (1) · I created a website that details the life story of each player on the roster. (1) · I did a PowerPoint presentation about the History of the Tulsa SPCA, the Service they provide, and the volunteering I did for them. (1) · I've always loved working with kids! I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. I decided to do my capstone on early childhood learning. I volunteered weekly with Joyce Hembree, a Pre-K teacher at Mark Twain. I assisted her in teachin (1) · It’s a journal comprised of multiple wild plant species. In this journal I explain the identifying features, the edibility of the plant, where to find the plant, and it’s various niche utilities. (1) · My capstone is about me showing my TulsaTech experience and their expectations. I show how I got started and what we did on our first day, and how I can make a career in the automotive program. (1) · My original capstone project was to create an irrigation system for the plants in the Commons on top of the bookshelf. I designed the dropper, the base, end caps, the hose splitter, and connectors. I have my irrigation system put together on a metal shelf that I bought to finish the project. This lead me on the road to learning a new, different type of dance that I never considered before. Once the talk is complete, you should walk away with a deeper knowledge of current as well as a simple definition for amperage, wattage and voltage. My hope is to bring awareness to the lack of funding, standards and accreditation of this system. Many professionals in this field are not even certified and that is a huge problem. I would like everyone to be awar (1) · My project is basically just a slide show explaining how high school helped me realize that mental illness is very real, and how it helped me find my passion for helping people. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · Well essentially its my photography portfolio. All images are black and white film dark room prints that have been scanned in; other than one color film negative scan. The portfolio had two goals for me: the capstone and submissions for OSAI Quartz Mountain. (1) · Essentially this journal was going to be the back up to a video of me camping in the wilderness actually eating these plants. (1) · I decided to volunteer with elementary school kids at Mark Twain Elementary and later on at the Common Good. (1) · I said I would be doing a PowerPoint presentation on the history of the Tulsa SPCA. (1) · I will give a talk about the dangers of electricity and teach my audience about amperage, voltage, and wattage. My goal is to teach in a way that all audience members can learn: visual, audial, and kinesthetic methods. Talks along with some form of presentation will fulfill two of the three categori (1) · It was supposed to be like a Ted Talk where I would have more visuals and charts, but I didn't have as much time to put it together so I did the best I could. (1) · My capstone project was an indoor irrigation system for the plants on top of the book shelves in the Commons. The irrigation system was to be automated and would only need for the reservoir to be filled every so often; everything else would be taken care of by the system. The system would run off of (1) · My original proposal was learning how to clog and working on my speed and my knowledge of a different dancing type. (1) · This project is intended to bring awareness to the problems with our death investigation system, because there are many. This is not a common topic of conversation so not many people are aware of these issues and that is a problem. (1) · Well, when I first did my proposal I first was planning on doing it on what I learned from the EMSA program, but I felt like it wasn't enough information for it. (1)

First I was going to do a video of how my experience went but it didn't work out, so I had to take pictures instead. I adjusted a lot by using more materials for my project. At first it was all about my EMSA program experience, but I felt like I didn't have enough information on it so I decided to d (1) · For the final project I am submitting a slide presentation of how I got the idea of learning how to clog instead of taking a video of myself doing the dance with my costume and music. (1) · For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · Honestly I changed my plan a lot, I was supposed to make a magazine, I ended up making a little online portfolio. But also to add I think this turned out way better then I thought, as I started getting paid for my design work as I started to work with more people. (1) · I added information about the services they provide. (1) · I couldn’t do some things because of not being able to be at school to receive help. (1) · I expanded the journal with drawings and utility. (1) · I started with a simpler version of this talk because I was going to add an example of what I'm teaching. My goal was to teach the audience with visual, audial, and kinesthetic points for each type of learner. I was going to create a device capable of shocking you at almost any safe voltage and ampe (1) · It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. In order for the new system to work I had to completely change the way that the water was going to flow to the plants. (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · My plan was to inform everyone that I could about something I feel strongly about. Everyone I have ever shared this information with didn't know about it and agreed something needs to be done. So the purpose was to make people aware and hopefully start the conversation. So far it has gone according (1) · The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. They would be in order from freshman year to my senior y (1) · We weren't able to film any of it. (1)

As I started going I learned I just like really only doing graphic work and also making one at a time. Not involving my other interest (as much as I love photography), but just focusing on one thing—it’s nice and more fun for me that way. I think my biggest take away is that although my work isn (1) · Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) · I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) · I knew the information I was providing beforehand, but I learned quite a lot through the process of trying to share that knowledge with others. creating a talk that has a lot of information in it was proven counterproductive as people may get more confused or less drawn toward the subject. It was a (1) · i learned that even though I won't get a grade out of finishing the dance, it is something I want to do. I want to finish it and see it through the end, I think its worth it if i want to further my skills and techniques in dancing. (1) · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) · I learned there are many opportunities you can try from seeing everybody's presentation and you might want to try out that for your own career. I wish I could be hands-on, showing you guys what I'm really capable of. (1) · I love working with animals and will look into careers with animals. (1) · I really love what I’ve made, even if it doesn’t blow you away on the surface, this journal could really morph into something amazing. Sic parvis magna. (1) · I wouldn't say I have any takeaways from the capstone itself, but I do think it served as a catalyst to hone in on my photography. (1) · It’s one of the coolest things when you type all the code out and it works perfectly on the website (1) · Things often fall apart. (1) · This project made me wonder how many more systems that are in place have major issues such as this one and how can we fix them to better those systems so that they continue to work for us not against us. (1)
