After quitting gymnastics at 13, I've struggled to find an interest that I actually enjoy or find fulfilling!! It's a lot harder than people make it out to be. So, I've decided to run through some different art forms and see what suits me. For capstone, I decided to try some jewelry making. I took s (1) ·
I have been a Starbucks Partner for over two years, of that I was a barista for 11 months, a trainer for 9 and a Supervisor for the last 6. It took two separate interviews with two different store managers to finally get the job, but as soon as I did I fell in love with the job, my store, and cowork (1) ·
This is a project of just my everyday life at Tulsa Tech. It also shows the difference between it and a traditional high school. Also how it affected my future and also how it helped me get jobs, internship, etc. (1)

I started with a pretty vague proposal if I recall. I said "wire-wrapping/embroidery/jewelry" project, and before that I thought about photography, but came up with my idea quite late comparatively. (1) ·

My initial idea was to document the process of becoming a shift supervisor at Starbucks, but because my store was in need of a supervisor and everyone I worked with was waiting on me to turn 18 so I could promote anyway, I ended up skipping a lot of the process. At first my project revolved around wire-wrapping and jewelry in general, and then I realized I enjoy making earrings more. As I continued making earrings and trying to do it with only beading, I realized I enjoyed making earrings out of fun objects and creatures more than only using beading. Anothe (1) ·
I have been super excited about presenting everything I have learned working at Starbucks and promoting within the company since we heard about the capstone project at the end of our sophomore year! Yeah, they went as planned. I had originally planned to do it with my other friends who went to Tulsa Tech, so you could see the comparison between the experiences. (1)

As I put this project together (gather photos and look through artifacts) I am realizing more and more that my coworkers are the best part of my job. From starting as a barista and working alongside most of them to learning from my supervisors (and friends) to becoming one of them. All of my barista (1) ·
I, weirdly enough, learned something about confidence, which I just wasn't expecting considering this is a project about creating jewelry. I felt pride in something I had created and I got excited to show people it. It's been a minute! I absolutely loved learning a new skill and using my hands. (1) ·
