I chose my senior capstone to be about photography and my progression within that. I’ve picked up technical shooting skills and am building a portfolio. To help further my enrichment in my Capstone, I took two photography classes this year. I worked hands-on with Ms. Butcher, brushing up on my com (1) · Throughout the year I have been shooting digital and film photography. I have been experimenting by using black and white as well as color film, and Photoshop! I have taken this opportunity to expand my portfolio. (1)

I was going to be volunteering at a local children’s museum. My capstone about this was to discuss the importance and livelihood of service to the community. (1) · My initial plan was to create a book where I put my photography and literature media all together. (1)

Due to lack of enrichment and work, I decided to change my capstone to photography. Luckily enough, I had already been attending a photo class. Ms. Butcher took me under her wing right away to help brainstorm and envision how to build a portfolio and give an artist statement. (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1)

None · A learned why people hate graffiti and think it’s a crime. I’m learning it as if I was just born. · As I put this project together (gather photos and look through artifacts) I am realizing more and more that my coworkers are the best part of my job. From starting as a barista and working alongside most of them to learning from my supervisors (and friends) to becoming one of them. Not involving my other interest (as much as I love photography), but just focusing on one thing—it’s nice and more fun for me that way. I think my biggest take away is that although my work isn · Crocheting is a learning process—you have to have determination and dedication to improve and develop your own styles and preferences. · Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a · I became a better artist, and I had fewer screw-ups. I have a lot more experience than I do a year ago, for sure, especially with exposures and printing images. · I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start · I feel like I actually learned a lot about myself during the whole process. The biggest thing that I got from this is to just trust myself a lot more and not make things harder for myself by being focused on other people besides me. · I had a good time painting and making the project. · I had to quit scooting shortly after the problem, so I wish I was able to make it better sorry. · I have learned that changing your mind is okay and that once I find something I am very passionate about, it is easy to follow through. · I knew the information I was providing beforehand, but I learned quite a lot through the process of trying to share that knowledge with others. creating a talk that has a lot of information in it was proven counterproductive as people may get more confused or less drawn toward the subject. It was a · I learned a lot about me, and the "demons" I have. I feel not near as powerless as I did to them even just a little while ago. I'm learning to heal the mental things that need to be healed and grow in a healthy way, and not feel like a core part of me is a mistake and has to be hidden away. · I learned a lot about myself. I also learned a lot of new art mediums and started looking at it with an even broader perspective. This year I learned a lot, and with learning changes your perspective of things... It makes you better! · I learned I actually really enjoy color film and I think I'll be using it a lot more often now. · i learned that even though I won't get a grade out of finishing the dance, it is something I want to do. I want to finish it and see it through the end, I think its worth it if i want to further my skills and techniques in dancing. · I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. · I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. · I learned that it is a lot harder to do something than to say you're going to do them. I wanted to compensate for what I felt insecure about, and struggled a lot because of it. I think my takeaway, really, is to pace myself.
