Capstone can seem really overwhelming at first, but it's really what you make and take away from it. It is a great way to show your creativity and teach others about something you learned. Definitely start brainstorming ideas because your capstone might change from what you initially thought it woul (1) · Capstone isn’t that difficult, choose something you’re interested in it will make it easier! (1) · Do not procrastinate. No matter how much you want to, don't do it. Because you're going to regret it. Ask your teachers for help because I promise you they want to help, and they want you to succeed. (1) · Don't be too hard on yourself. If you don't meet your own expectations, or anyone else's, that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. Room for improvement is just that. You do what you can do, and you keep going. If someone else is accomplishing a lot, but you can't do as much, that doesn't (1) · Don't rush your Senior year! I was so excited for Senior year to start so that I could be done with high school. When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · If anybody wants to do a virtual prom that would be cool—class of 2020 is not over yet! Keep your head up high and....WASH YO HANDS!!!! (1) · While you should have everything for the most part planned, don't go into it thinking too much and have your expectations for yourself too high. Don't freak out when things start to look different than how you originally planned it to. (1)

Before this whole mess started, I was going to be a Stage Manager in our school’s musical production “The Addams Family.” I was given the position as stage manager because my teacher, Ms. Gates, saw me as a responsible student and trusted me to watch over a group of students. At first I was he (1) · I made a video containing a poem read off by me and my three competition dances from senior year. (1) · I wrote and recorded two original songs and recorded two cover songs. I made a Google Slides presentation to document all of my processes. (1) · I've always loved working with kids! I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. I decided to do my capstone on early childhood learning. I volunteered weekly with Joyce Hembree, a Pre-K teacher at Mark Twain. I assisted her in teachin (1) · My capstone shows how to make brownies from scratch that mimic the brownies you see in stores. I will show my recipe and ingredients and compare them to the ingredients in the store bought brownies. I researched what all is in the Little Debbie cosmic brownies and made my recipe to match the look of (1) · Pictures and videos of me talking about my experience and what my time at the Children's Museum was all about. (1) · This is a written work discussing personal projects and studies in horticulture, and how passionate interests can make a difference in the way we handle negative situations. It isn't all I had wanted it to be, but I think it still delivers the message I wanted to get across. (1)

For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · I decided on top of showing how to bake from scratch.I would also compare the ingredients to store bought baked goods which often have a lot more preservatives and additives. I would definitely say things went as planned and the brownies turned out great. (1) · I used a poem and added my two other dances. (1) · The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. (1) · Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad (1) · Things didn't really go as planned at all. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled. Originally I was going to describe my experience as a Stage Manager, but then I decided to include how (1) · With the basic aspect of my project, yes, it generally went as planned. While I did write the the one song that I originally planned on writing, my project still doesn't look exactly as I imagined it would. (1)
