Don't be too hard on yourself. If you don't meet your own expectations, or anyone else's, that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. Room for improvement is just that. You do what you can do, and you keep going. If someone else is accomplishing a lot, but you can't do as much, that doesn't (1) ·
Honestly, don’t take school as a joke, as much as high school is an incredible experience and such a time to be alive (you know, like the “young wild and free” quote). But please remember this a time to also represent yourself and who you are wanting to become. I know it’s silly coming from (1) ·
I think that really making it about something you're already passionate about is super important. It's only as much extra work as you make it really. I learned a lot about me, and the "demons" I have. I feel not near as powerless as I did to them even just a little while ago. I'm learning to heal the mental things that need to be healed and grow in a healthy way, and not feel like a core part of me is a mistake and has to be hidden away. (1) ·
