My capstone project was an indoor irrigation system for the plants on top of the book shelves in the Commons. My initial idea was to document the process of becoming a shift supervisor at Starbucks, but because my store was in need of a supervisor and everyone I worked with was waiting on me to turn 18 so I could promote anyway, I ended up skipping a lot of the process. It felt like I had to completely change my project. I had to downsize everything and almost start over. I lost the capability to set up the system how I had originally designed it. As I put this project together (gather photos and look through artifacts) I am realizing more and more that my coworkers are the best part of my job. From starting as a barista and working alongside most of them to learning from my supervisors (and friends) to becoming one of them. All of my barista (1) ·
I did the best that I could with the time that I had. I made a system that worked and that watered my plants. It is not nearly as fancy or sophisticated as I had originally planned on it being, but I still made it happen and I am proud of it. It was a struggle and a half to completely spin and start (1) ·

I learned that Germany's at fault for bring Lenin into Russia which was a really risky move that I'm not entirely sure was worth it. (1) ·
I really love what I’ve made, even if it doesn’t blow you away on the surface, this journal could really morph into something amazing. Sic parvis magna. (1) ·
This project made me wonder how many more systems that are in place have major issues such as this one and how can we fix them to better those systems so that they continue to work for us not against us. (1)
