Don't be too hard on yourself. If you don't meet your own expectations, or anyone else's, that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. Room for improvement is just that. You do what you can do, and you keep going. If someone else is accomplishing a lot, but you can't do as much, that doesn't (1) · Have fun in your capstone class but don't forget to actually do your work, and do your artifacts they will help more than you think! (1) · If it's hard, the reward is more fulfilling. If you have a skill or talent, pursue it, don't wait for tomorrow or next week. All the time you have is now. Years from now when you see your practice pay off is when you truly appreciate practice. (1) · My advice for the next seniors. . . hmmmm. Capstone-wise, choose something that challenges you but it also excites you. It is supposed to be something that connects to what you want to do in the future so it should be something you enjoy. For just senior year in general, enjoy the moments you have (1) · Respect your teachers, and ALL faculty! Don't vape in the bathrooms and set a good example for the classes below you. And most of all, HAVE FUN NEXT YEAR and live it up. Don't overthink the Senior Capstone, it is a great opportunity to share your voice before you head to college, and for you to do s (1) · There are going to be moments of frustration with essentially any project you attempt; don't let those moments prevent you from finding solutions and making progress on your work. Additionally, while you are first trying to land on a project idea, try to ensure that you are working on something that (1) · Think of some ideas during your junior year. Start narrowing down during the summer. Also: just do it, complain all you want but don’t give your teachers a hard time lol. They don’t get paid enough... (1)

For my project, I created a business that covers Photography, Painting, Prints, Literary Books, Blogging, and More! I hope that my work can make an impact on people, at a reasonable price. My project is intended to help other people through my perception. You can view my entire project at this link: (1) · My capstone exploration is a blend of two experiences wherein I believe that the importance of using your voice is emphasized. The first element of my capstone was to co-teach TSAS's novice speech and debate class alongside Mrs. Hughes. The second element was the continuation of my work with the non (1) · My project entails a brief history of clogging, then goes into my journey of musical theatre and how it led me to tap dancing. This lead me on the road to learning a new, different type of dance that I never considered before. (1) · My project is a song that I've been working on since the beginning of September. It started out as a simple chord in a certain key signature and evolved greatly from that. I was able to see the pattern of notes that I wanted to use and worked on being able to hit those notes freely and quickly in th (1) · My project is about fire and its effect on humanity. Fire has shaped us since the very beginning, it was the first ever technological advancement that literally sparked everything for us. Fire is even theorized to be the reason we had the ability to evolve into what we are today. (1) · This is a written work discussing personal projects and studies in horticulture, and how passionate interests can make a difference in the way we handle negative situations. It isn't all I had wanted it to be, but I think it still delivers the message I wanted to get across. (1) · This is the animation based off of my first art journal of freshman year. It shows things that I’ve seen, thought about, and experienced from my time at TSAS. This video encompasses ending this chapter of my life. (1)

After deciding not to write the book, I felt more comfortable and natural making my capstone with a piano rather than a pencil. I started spending hours at the piano at home. Those three simple notes that gave me the idea for my song were being explored in all different ways I wanted it to go. Nothi (1) · For the final project I am submitting a slide presentation of how I got the idea of learning how to clog instead of taking a video of myself doing the dance with my costume and music. (1) · I was originally going to talk more about how it affects us in modern day but it's not as interesting as the history and fire sadly isn't used that much in the daily lives of modern people. (1) · My capstone experiences ended up being a blend of non-profit work and teaching. While it didn't follow my initial proposal, what I learned throughout my experience has informed elements of how I am approaching the speech and debate program for incarcerated women. Overall, I decided that I wanted exp (1) · My first idea was scrapped because I found that I didn’t have a passion for any practical job and couldn’t be happy with settling for an office job. (1) · Things absolutely did not go as planned, and I changed my project idea multiple times. In the end, a combination of procrastination, executive dysfunction, depression, and inability to focus left me with nothing to work with and little time to put something together. The events of the past month mad (1) · Things went as planned, and I ended up doing way more than I thought. I imagined this project being way smaller, but then again it is only the beginning of this project too. (1)

I learned a lot about myself. I also learned a lot of new art mediums and started looking at it with an even broader perspective. This year I learned a lot, and with learning changes your perspective of things... It makes you better! (1) · i learned that even though I won't get a grade out of finishing the dance, it is something I want to do. I want to finish it and see it through the end, I think its worth it if i want to further my skills and techniques in dancing. (1) · I really want to cook now, knowing the impact it has had on my ancestors. Also research can be fun. (1) · I've realized I wasn’t happy with living a practical life. I’m not sure if I will go into animation but it’s my #1 option right now. It has the perfect balance of something I like to do and something that is difficult. (1) · One of my takeaways from my capstone—and senior year as a whole—is to define what your limits are and to be realistic and flexible with your expectations for yourself. Sometimes, what seems like a "waste of time" can end up being fundamental in how you move forward. The capstone experience taugh (1) · Overall I've learned that I'm capable of writing sheet music. I've improved my playing skills and I've also greatly improved my sheet music skills. Knowing that I created this song makes me feel even more confident about the other works I will come to create in my life. I've also learned that gettin (1) · The project is nothing like I pictured it would be in the beginning, but I think that's okay. The purpose of capstone was to get us to do something new, and, in kind of an indirect way, I have done that. Hopefully that will be enough.
