When my last year ended abruptly due to Covid-19 I realized that I wasn't ready for it to be over. I yearned to walk down the halls one last time. So, enjoy your last year in high schoo (1) · If anybody wants to do a virtual prom that would be cool—class of 2020 is not over yet! Keep your head up high and....WASH YO HANDS!!!! (1) · It's a little bit overwhelming, but the finished product makes everything worth it. (1) · Pick something you love. You will be spending a lot of time at this location and it is more enjoyable if you love it. (1) · Start your capstone early in the year, be brave, and have confidence. When you enter a room, demand attention with your presence. Be the best you, you can be! (1) · USE YOUR TIME WISELY! No matter how easy you think your project is, it's better to have extra time at the end instead of waiting until last second. (1)

Before this whole mess started, I was going to be a Stage Manager in our school’s musical production “The Addams Family.” I was given the position as stage manager because my teacher, Ms. Gates, saw me as a responsible student and trusted me to watch over a group of students. At first I was he (1) · I did a PowerPoint presentation about the History of the Tulsa SPCA, the Service they provide, and the volunteering I did for them. (1) · I've always loved working with kids! I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. I decided to do my capstone on early childhood learning. I volunteered weekly with Joyce Hembree, a Pre-K teacher at Mark Twain. I assisted her in teachin (1) · In a series of paintings with TSAS subjects, I wanted to showcase many (but not all) people with different background and ethnicity. I wanted to show viewers that although we may look, speak, or act a different way from each other, it shouldn't divide us. Human beings, no matter the people we associ (1) · Learning about small engines and dirt bikes, lawn mowers and four wheelers, and power washers and weed-eaters and other stuff. (1) · My capstone is about how my internship at discovery lab affected my future career in teaching. The internship taught me responsibility, patience, and amiability in stressful situations. (1) · My project is artwork and painting, realistic and cartoon. A lot of different colors. (1) · My project is basically just a slide show explaining how high school helped me realize that mental illness is very real, and how it helped me find my passion for helping people. It also helped me decide what I want my future career to be. (1) · Pictures and videos of me talking about my experience and what my time at the Children's Museum was all about. (1) · Throughout the year I have been shooting digital and film photography. I have been experimenting by using black and white as well as color film, and Photoshop! I have taken this opportunity to expand my portfolio. (1)

None (2) · For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. The end of my project did not go as planned. I was going to take videos of some of the teachers and students asking about their experience thr (1) · I added information about the services they provide. (1) · I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) · It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) · Not everything went exactly as I planned it! While I didn't ever change the premise of my Capstone, I had a lot of issues with productivity and eventually, a lack of supplies. I went from aiming for 24-25 models, down to 18, and finally, 16. I think, on my part, I was trying too hard and trying to d (1) · The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. (1) · Things did go as planned when I moved to doing art work. I was doing the Children's museum and then I changed it to art because I know more about art. (1) · Things didn't really go as planned at all. I was excited for the upcoming Musical at our school, but Covid-19 started to spread and unfortunately school had to close and the musical was cancelled.
