I decided to volunteer with elementary school kids at Mark Twain Elementary and later on at the Common Good. (1) ·

It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) ·
The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. The video was a complete 180 from what I was going to do, which was a bulletin board, but I think it turned out pretty well. (1) ·
Things did go as planned when I moved to doing art work. I was doing the Children's museum and then I changed it to art because I know more about art. (1)

Early childhood education is often overlooked as an easy babysitting job when in reality it's far from it. Early educators have the responsibility to prepare their class to be successful learners in upcoming years. It's crucial to have achieved such skills as: knowing the abc's, counting, reading, a (1) ·
I learned I actually really enjoy color film and I think I'll be using it a lot more often now. (1) ·
I learned that everyone struggles with personal stuff, and that you shouldn't procrastinate everything. (1) ·
I learned that it takes time and focus. (1) ·
I love working with animals and will look into careers with animals. (1) ·
I wouldn't say I have any takeaways from the capstone itself, but I do think it served as a catalyst to hone in on my photography. (1) ·
