I've always loved working with kids! I've been volunteering at Mark Twain Elementary for years with my previous teachers and with my youth group. Well essentially its my photography portfolio. All images are black and white film dark room prints that have been scanned in; other than one color film negative scan. It was supposed to be like a Ted Talk where I would have more visuals and charts, but I didn't have as much time to put it together so I did the best I could. (1) ·

For the most part my project went as planned. I went weekly and volunteered at Mark Twain. I also received a job offer after volunteering at the Common Good. I decided to focus more on the photography part of my project, and that's when I expanded to digital as well as color film. (1) ·
It's kind of similar, but my original idea was based on in person interaction so to change it to be solely online was pretty disappointing. I was still able to get my main point across with relevancy to my career, but I wish it could've been done differently. (1) ·
The core of it went well and I'm pleased with my portfolio. However, as an extra thing I had wanted to include a video to play alongside my portfolio at the capstone booth that would've been essentially a sped up slideshow of all my negatives. They would be in order from freshman year to my senior y (1)

I wouldn't say I have any takeaways from the capstone itself, but I do think it served as a catalyst to hone in on my photography. (1)
