How It Began
Originally, I wanted to just print out pictures of the teachers I've had and get some tracing paper and trace it onto the canvas.
How It Changed
I decided to change the way I sketched the paintings. I had talks with Karner and Foshee about how I could make this project better. They asked why I was tracing instead of drawing it myself. I took a couple of days to process that as well. Why was I doing that? It always felt like I was a fake every time I got ready to trace a teacher. I stopped tracing after the 4th painting. All the paintings will look different because I decided to change the way I sketched them. I now proceeded to just draw what I see instead of just start copying because that's not my true art style.
Reflection
I learned to stay true to my style and trust the process. Also how I need to realize that I'm not going to be a professional painter/artist overnight. Also stop giving myself such a hard time.
